Yesterday afternoon our Bruker engineer completed the annual cryoprobe
maintenance. The cryoprobe has cooled to operating temperature and is
available for use. Please submit your samples for Siena to the in-rack
in Malott B042 or SBC 1004.
Unfortunately, as is the trend this summer, there is an HVAC problem in
Malott B042. The room temperature is creeping up to 85 F, which is the
maximum recommended room temperature. I have shut off the console to
Paris to cool the room and will continue to monitor the situation
closely. If the temperature in the NMR room goes above 85 F, I'll have
to shut down Siena, as well. Obviously, I'd like to avoid shutting down
this instrument because of the backlog of samples due to annual
maintenance.
I apologize for the inconvenience.
Justin
